Fantasia Fairways
Fantasia
Fairways is my favorite miniature golf course on Walt Disney World property. It
is located on Epcot Resort Boulevard across
from the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels.
Disney's
welcome package (when you book a package, not room only) comes with 4 vouchers
for one round of golf at Fantasia Gardens, Fantasia Fairways, or a Winter
Summerland course. If you want a fun easy course for the kids Winter Summerland
is your best bet. If you you are looking for more of a challenge, Fantasia Gardens would be a good choice; and if you are looking for a course where you will be
lucky to get a par 3 Fantasia Fairways is the course for you.
I like
to do Fantasia Fairways on my Epcot days after enjoying a couple of attractions; usually
Soarin and Test Track. Frozen Forever After will be favorite for your little and big ones
alike. By noon, y’all know what that means,
lunch at EPCOT (my favorite park to eat in). I pick up a quick service, usually
fish and chips in the UK pavilion. Then I head out the international gateway,
walk the Boardwalk (you can take the water taxi), stroll over through the Swan,
crossing the street to Fantasia Gardens. It sounds more complicated than
it is. If you
choose to walk, I suggest stopping at Ample Hills on
the way and trying their Ooey Gooey Butter Cake ice cream (or any flavor they are all delicious), and eat a cone on your
way to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways.
Fantasia Fairways is designed with hazards of a real golf
course such as sand traps and rough terrain. Fantasia Fairways was voted the
longest and most challenging mini golf course in the world by Golf Digest. Par is 72 for the
fairways course As for a caddie its never a bad idea to have someone else to help
you find the best line :-p
Adults
tend to play this course more than kids because it does not have the fun
characters and tunnels like the other courses, but this is still good for kids. However,
there is always the Fantasia Gardens right along side of the Fairways
